Using Your CBD Oil Tincture

If you’re new to 3000mg CBD Oil, we would recommend starting with 0.5 mL, or roughly half of the included dropper. When you know how your body responds to this dose (after two weeks of continual use), adjust the amount you take as necessary.

You can ingest this 3000mg Full Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture in one of two ways.

Fast: Est. time to effect: 20 – 30 minutes

Fill the dropper to your desired dosage and dispense the oil under your tongue. Rest your tongue on top to increase the surface area in contact with the oil. Count to 20 and swallow.

Gradual: Est. time to effect: 60 – 90 minutes

Fill the dropper to your desired dosage and dispense the oil into your favorite beverage or food. We would suggest adding CBD oil to your morning coffee or your sleepytime tea. Consume as you normally would.

Our Recommendation

For best results, we suggest taking your CBD oil tincture consistently. Try to take your oil at least once per day, around the same time. Once you’re acclimated to your dose, you can start using your CBD oil tincture in a number of different ways.

First thing in the morning – If you wake up stiff and restricted, take a dropper of this CBD oil tincture to loosen up those tight spots and calm your aching muscles.

With your midday coffee- Put a dropper full of this tincture in your midday coffee to keep the jitters at bay and put a little pep in your step.

Getting to sleep – Relax and settle in for the night with a dropper full of CBD oil tincture. This formula is strong enough to help you relax and release tension that you’ve stored up over the day.

Safety Considerations

We recommend consuming this product once you’re at home or in a safe place. Avoid operating heavy machinery for at least 2-3 hours after use.

For new users: If you’re new to CBD, try experimenting in the evening at home to understand how your body responds to full-spectrum CBD. Once you’re comfortable, you can explore using it at other times of the day.

FAQ

General Questions:

Is CBD Oil the same as hemp oil?

CBD oil and hemp oil are not the same thing. If you are comparing this item to hemp oil listed on Amazon, please know that those products contain no CBD at all.

Hemp oil, sometimes called hempseed oil, is cold-pressed cooking oil that does not contain any substantial amount of CBD.

CBD oil is made with at least two ingredients: CBD-rich hemp extract (think of it as the essential oils pressed from the hemp flower) and a carrier oil like olive oil or MCT oil.

What is full-spectrum CBD oil?

CBD oil is a mix of full-spectrum hemp extract with a carrier oil. In this case, we mix our super-potent CBD hemp extract with MCT oil until it’s diluted to the appropriate level.

“Full-spectrum” means that this oil contains all of the cannabinoids present in hemp plants when we harvest them, including trace amounts of THC.

How do you use CBD oil?

Please see our “How To Use” section in this product’s description for more complete instructions.

You can use this CBD Oil Tincture sublingually by putting oil under your tongue. You can also ingest your CBD oil by adding it to your food and/or drinks. You can also apply your oil topically if you so choose.

For further reading, please see our blog post about using CBD oil here.

How much/ how many drops of the 3000mg CBD oil should I take?

Your dose entirely depends on you and what your body needs. However, we always recommend starting off with 25mg of CBD to get a benchmark for yourself. With this potency of oil, a 25mg dose is equal to 0.5 mL of oil.

Is 3000mg of CBD a lot?

Yes, 3000mg of CBD is a lot. We don’t recommend taking 3000mg all at once. Doing so would lead to unwanted side effects from both the CBD and from consuming 2oz of MCT oil. Your stomach will not be happy with you.

How should I store this product to maintain freshness?

Please store this CBD oil tincture in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Keep the bottle closed when you’re not using it.

Oxygen and UV light can both spoil the MCT carrier oil and degrade the CBD within.

Effects Questions:

What does CBD do?

CBD can do a lot for people and their overall wellness. While the FDA prohibits us as a hemp company from making any health claims, we encourage you to take a look at our customer reviews down below to learn how the 3000mg Full Spectrum CBD Oil Tincture has helped our amazing customers.

How long does it take for CBD oil to work?

The onset time can vary based on the method of consumption.

Sublingual use can take effect within 15-30 minutes, while ingesting your oil may take 1-2 hours. Topical application can take effect within 15-30 minutes.

Will I get high off of this product?

We make our CBD oils with full-spectrum CBD extract, which means that they contain trace amounts of THC. Theoretically, you could take enough of this oil to start to feel intoxicated.

However, if you use this product as directed, you shouldn’t feel THC’s effect or feel intoxicated.

How will this CBD oil make me feel?

When used as directed, this CBD oil should make you feel more at ease, relaxed, and ready to handle whatever the day throws at you. If you’re already near the end of your day, this CBD oil can make you feel drowsy and encourage you to get some sleep.

Health Questions:

What are the health risks associated with taking CBD oil?

While CBD is generally considered a safe and natural product for humans, it can give users some unwanted side effects. They include:

  • Nausea
  • Appetite changes
  • Dry mouth
  • Dizziness
  • And more…

If you experience any of the above side effects, you may want to consider lowering your CBD dose or stop dosing altogether.

Will this product affect the medications I’m taking?

CBD can interact with certain medications. If you are taking any prescriptions, especially those with a grapefruit warning, please consult a healthcare professional— either your doctor or pharmacist— before you consume CBD products.

Can I mix this product with other substances?

You can consume CBD products with other substances safely. Many users mix THC-heavy cannabis products with CBD hemp products, often without incident.

We don’t recommend using any CBD/hemp products in conjunction with alcohol, as this can increase the risk of side effects like drowsiness and impaired coordination.

If you plan on using CBD in conjunction with other herbs and/or naturopathic remedies, please consult a naturopathic doctor or herbalist for safety instructions.

Legal Questions:

Will I fail a drug test after taking this product?

All of Sunset Lake CBD’s CBD Oil products are crafted with full-spectrum CBD extracts, which means that the extract contains trace amounts of THC. While the amounts comply with USDA rules, we recommend exercising caution if you are subject to drug testing. Even trace amounts of THC can trigger a positive result on workplace drug tests.

Please check your local and state laws for any specific restrictions.

It is legal for us to sell, process, and ship our CBD oil products from Vermont because they comply with the federal 0.3% delta-9 THC and Vermont’s total THC limits, respectively.

Frequently asked CBD Questions

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring chemical compound produced by mature hemp and cannabis plants. It is one of the 100+ cannabinoids that have, as of now, been identified in Cannabis Sativa plants. Unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the compound responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana, CBD is non-intoxicating. This means that consuming CBD does not result in the “high” typically associated with cannabis use.

CBD interacts with our body’s endocannabinoid system— a biological network composed of cannabinoid receptors and signalers— to help the body maintain overall health and homeostasis.

The endocannabinoid system plays a role in many bodily functions including,

  • Sleep
  • Mood
  • Stress
  • Metabolism and appetite
  • Memory and our ability to retain new information

CBD is known as a phytocannabinoid, phyto- meaning ‘of the plant’ and mimics our body’s endocannabinoids, endo- meaning internal, that our bodies naturally produce. Some believe that consuming phytocannabinoids like CBD can help a user’s endocannabinoid system run more efficiently.

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol (Canna-Bi-Diol.) Emphasis ours.

CBD by itself does not show up on a standard workplace drug test. That’s not to say that CBD products won’t show up on a drug test. For more on this subject, check out our blog post on the subject.

CBD is well tolerated by most, but using CBD can cause some unwanted side effects. Some of the most common include:

  • Change in appetite
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Upset Stomach

CBD isn’t shown to have any dependence issues, meaning that you will not get addicted to CBD if you begin to use it. The World Health Organization has stated that “…in humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…”

CBD is non-psychoactive and will not make users feel intoxicated. In other words, CBD will not get you “high.”
