Shipping Policy

Thank you so much for supporting our farm. Below you’ll find a list of our shipping policies and guidelines.
  • All products listed in our CBD edibles category (found here) must be purchased with Priority Shipping (2-3 Business Days) from the beginning of May through the end of September. This is to prevent melting and other heat-related issues. 
    • Orders that qualify for free shipping (with a subtotal over $75 are not subject to the above policy.) 
  • Ownership of your Sunset Lake CBD order transfers to you once we consign it at the United States Post Office. 
  • Orders placed before 10 ᴬᴹ EST/EDT on a business day (Monday – Friday) will be processed and shipped on the same day. 
    • Exceptions to this policy include lack of inventory, back-orders, or extraordinary weather events. 
  • When placing an order online please make certain that you have entered the correct shipping and email information. Some internet browsers have auto-fill features and the wrong information can be populated. We will ship to the address provided. We are not responsible for emails or packages being delivered to an incorrect address. 
  • If you notice after your order that the information is incorrect in your confirmation email, please contact us at admin@sunsetlakecbd.com or call us at (802)-662-5518 and we can manually correct that address.

If the package has already been consigned at the post office, it is not the responsibility of Sunset Lake CBD to contact the post office to change the delivery address.

  • Shipping times we advertise during checkout are estimates and not binding. If your order is late because of the USPS, we are not responsible for refunding your shipping costs.
  • We ship exclusively with USPS in nondescript packaging. The words “Sunset Lake CBD” will not appear anywhere on the exterior of your order. 
  • If your order is marked delivered by the post office and you have yet to receive your order, please allow 48 hours for that package to arrive, before contacting us. 
  • After your order is processed through the website you will get an email confirmation containing tracking information. Once you receive this email and your tracking information it is your responsibility to make sure your package makes it to you.
  • If you didn’t get an email in your normal inbox, please first check your spam folder.
  • If it is not in your spam folder you may have entered the incorrect email. Please contact admin@sunsetlakecbd.com to correct this.
  • To avoid misdeliveries, you can add signature confirmation to your order for a small fee. We cannot be held responsible for packages being stolen off porches, lost, or otherwise misplaced.

We don’t ship on certain days because we are either observing a holiday or it’s a federal (postal) holiday. Most of the time these days will overlap. Note, that if one of the days below falls on a weekend, it will be observed on the closest business day.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a common and ongoing issue with the United States Postal Service, and we appreciate your patience as we ensure you get your order. Sometimes, your postal carrier will scan your package as “delivered” prematurely. 

Please allow for 48 hours, before reaching out to Sunset Lake CBD about your missing item. Often times your order will arrive 24-48 hours after it is marked as delivered.

Sometimes Sunset Lake CBD’s tracking emails are sorted out by your email provider’s spam filter. Be sure to search your inbox with the keywords: “Sunset Lake Enterprises, LLC” and “Shipping” in order to find your tracking information. 

From here you will be able to track the progress of your package. You will also be able to access the tracking number assigned to your package which you can plug into the USPS tracking website for a more accurate estimate of your delivery window.

If your package was marked delivered more than 48 hours ago and you have yet to receive it, please do reach out to us. Sometimes packages are reshuffled through the system, stolen, or just plain lost. We have a lot of experience working with USPS and can help you get the CBD you ordered.

Because of the additional strain placed on the USPS during the pandemic and due to staffing issues, packages can be delayed without further explanation. All we ask is that you have patience while we work with you to get your package to you. If you’ve paid for priority and your order is delayed more than three days, we will be happy to refund the extra charge.

The fastest shipping option that we offer is Priority Shipping which the United States Postal Service quotes us at 2 – 3 Business Days (Saturdays and Sundays excluded). If you place your order on our website before 10 ᴬᴹ EST/EDT, we will process and ship it on that same day. If your order is placed after this cut-off, your order will be shipped the next day.

We do not offer overnight shipping via USPS nor with any other postage carrier. The fastest shipping option that we offer is Priority Shipping (2 – 3 Business Days.)

We do not offer a pick-up option for our local customers. All orders will be consigned to the United States Postal Service at the end of each business day. We will also not consign your package with a private carrier or international freight company at this time.

As long as you have not received an email that states your package has been shipped, we can still correct the shipping address on a pending package. Please contact us via email or phone, as soon as possible so that we may make that change. 

If your package has already left our facility, you should contact the USPS and have your package rerouted to the correct address.

The shipping estimates that we provide you— 5 to 7 business days for standard and 2 to 3 business days for priority shipping— are not guaranteed delivery windows. These estimates are provided to us directly from the USPS.

If your package is deemed undeliverable by USPS they will initiate a Return To Sender. When it arrives back at our facility we will attempt to contact you by email and by phone at least two times in order to confirm your shipping address. In the event that your package was returned due to a typo in the shipping address you provided, you will be responsible for paying additional shipping fees to have the package re-shipped. In the event that it was an error caused by Sunset Lake or the USPS, we will re-ship your package free of charge once you have confirmed your shipping address with us. Please note that we will attempt to contact you from admin@sunsetlakecbd.com and 802-662-5518. In the event that we are unable to reach you after two attempts, we will refund the cost of your items, less any shipping charges, including any additional shipping charges that may have resulted from your package being returned.
