What is Delta-9? 

Δ9 “Delta-9” is a type of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is the cannabinoid responsible for cannabis’s (a.k.a. marijuana’s) psychoactive effects. Delta-9 is not a type of CBD. 

Delta-9 is synonymous with “THC” in most use cases. If you are someone who is extra sensitive to THC, you may want to consider a less potent gummy option.

What are Delta-9 THC Gummies? 

Sunset Lake’s Δ9 THC Gummies are gummy edibles infused with CBD isolate and hemp-derived delta-9 THC. Because delta-9 THC is the cannabinoid responsible for cannabis’s intoxicating effects, you should expect to feel somewhat intoxicated after consuming one of these gummies.

Do these gummies contain THC?  

Yes! Sunset Lake’s Δ9 THC Gummies contain 5mg of THC per gummy. Please do not consume before driving, operating heavy machinery, or if you are subject to workplace drug testing.

Do these gummies contain terpenes?

These Δ9 THC Gummies don’t contain any hemp-derived terpenes. Due to dosing consistency considerations, we opted to make these gummies with CBD and THC isolates. Working with isolates makes it easier to get consistent results, but the drawback is that they contain no other cannabinoids or terpenes. 

If you’re looking for a product that contains other cannabinoids or hemp-derived terpenes, we’d suggest checking out our unflavored tinctures. 

Are these gummies synthetic?

Sunset Lake’s Δ9 THC Gummies don’t contain any synthetic cannabinoids. We infuse each gummy square with CBD isolated from our hemp extract and hemp-derived delta-9 THC, a byproduct of the CBD isolation process. 

A synthetic cannabinoid, like delta-8 THC, is made by washing CBD isolate in acid and then removing the solvents. We don’t believe in the safety of that practice, nor do we make our products with synthetic cannabinoids. 

Can dogs have Delta-9 Gummies? 

Please do not give your dog or any other pet your Δ9 THC Gummies. In larger doses, THC can intoxicate your pet and cause some very serious side effects. Please stick with CBD products specifically formulated for animal use.

How strong are Delta-9 Gummies?

Sunset Lake’s Δ9 THC Gummies contain the same THC that you would find in cannabis (marijuana) edibles. You can expect these gummies to be as strong as the edibles you find at your local dispensary. 

You may notice that the experience is smoothed out somewhat because of the 50mg of CBD that we’ve added, but you will more than likely feel intoxicated after consuming one of these gummies. 

How many Delta-9 Gummies should I take?

We suggest starting with half of a gummy at a time. This is especially true if you’re new to THC-infused edibles. Please consume these gummies either in your home or in a safe place, as THC edibles can dull the senses and make certain situations harder to navigate.

If this isn’t your first THC gummy rodeo, you can probably start with a full gummy. Once you know how your body responds to one of these gummies, please adjust your dosage as needed. 

How long do Delta 9 THC Gummies take to start working?

After you eat your Δ9 THC Gummy, it can take between 30 minutes and two hours to take effect. The cannabinoids in your gummies must reach your intestines before they start to enter your bloodstream.

Are these gummies legal?

Sunset Lake’s Δ9 THC Gummies are 2018 Farm Bill and USDA compliant. We manufacture these gummies from extracts collected from USDA-compliant hemp plants. 

More generally speaking, hemp-derived THC gummies are sold online as “legal” hemp products because of the way that the 2018 Farm Bill is written. Because they are evaluated on a dry weight basis, all gummies that contain less than 0.3% delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis are fine. If we consider that each gummy may weigh 5g in total, they could theoretically contain 15mg of THC each and still be within the acceptable range. 

Can you fly with Delta-9 Gummies?

We don’t recommend flying with your Δ9 THC Gummies. While you technically can fly domestic with them with no problem, you may land in a state that prohibits possession of hemp-derived THC gummies. Your TSA officer may mistake the gummies for a cannabis product, too. 

It’s best to save yourself the travel headache and either ship the product to yourself or travel with a more standard CBD product.
