What Are CBD Pre Rolls?

CBD Pre Rolls are pre-rolled joints, commonly rolled around a cardstock or cardboard mouthpiece (sometimes referred to as a “crutch.”)

How We Make Our CBD Pre Rolls

Raw Pre Rolled Cones

We have our CBD Pre Roll dialed in a Sunset Lake CBD. The entire process starts with the iconic Raw Natural Hemp 98 Special pre-rolled cones. We prefer these to other rolling papers because of how they burn, and because they are unbleached.

What Are CBD Pre Rolls Filled With?

CBD Pre Rolls can be filled with almost every part of the hemp plant including:

• Trim – Sugar leaves (leaves with trichomes on them) that are cut away from hemp buds after harvesting. CBD Pre Rolls made from trim are not the highest quality.
• Shake – As buds are moved around and agitated, small pieces of flower fall off. This is called shake and when collected, can be turned into pre-rolls.
• Buds – CBD Pre Rolls can also be made from ground-up hemp flower buds. CBD Pre Rolls made with ground-up hemp flower contain more trichomes and are generally more potent than pre-rolls made with shake or trim.

To ensure that every CBD Pre Roll is packed and filled evenly, Sunset Lake CBD uses a pre-roll machine that utilizes a custom-made tray for our Raw pre-rolled cones and variable vibration. When the CBD Pre Rolls are ready we pull them from the machine, hand fold the ends, and package them.

How To Smoke a CBD Pre Roll

Smoking CBD Pre Rolls is one of the easiest methods of consuming smokable CBD hemp. Most of the preparation is already done. Just pull one from the pack and place the tip of the crutch (the cardboard filter) in between your lips.

When the crutch is secured between your lips, light the other end with a match or lighter and pull, either by inhaling or sucking on the crutch as if it were a straw. Once lit, wave out any active flame and inhale from the crutch. Keep doing so until you’re satisfied with your CBD dose, or your CBD Pre Roll has reached its end.

Do CBD Pre Rolls Smell?

Smoking CBD Pre Rolls does smell similar to burning traditional cannabis. If you’re going to be around someone who is sensitive to the smell of burning cannabis, it’s best to take a walk outside while actively smoking, and after you finish your CBD Pre Roll.

Do CBD Pre Rolls Get You High?

Smoking CBD Pre Rolls will not make you feel “high” or intoxicated.

To be considered hemp and not marijuana, smokable hemp must contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Instead of feeling “high” as you might with traditional marijuana, you might feel much more relaxed or chilled out due to the CBD.

How Long Do CBD Pre Rolls Last?

CBD Pre Rolls will stay fresh anywhere from two months to a year. It depends on how they’re packaged and stored. If you want to keep your CBD Pre Rolls good for longer, consider putting them in an airtight container with either a humidity pack or orange peel, and storing them in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
