Suggested Use:
For best results, scoop a quarter-sized amount of salve out of your jar and apply it to the affected area. Rub the salve into your skin in circular, massage-like motions until it is fully absorbed into your skin.
If your salve is cold (or arrived cold in the mail), we suggest allowing your jar to warm up to room temperature first; cold salve is much more difficult to use and apply.
This salve is a great way to incorporate CBD into your daily skincare routine or to treat nagging aches and pains as they pop up. For best results, apply salve directly after the shower to help with moisture retention.
If you are using the CBD Salve + Arnica to manage pains and/or muscle recovery, use as frequently as needed. There is no danger of applying too much topical CBD.
Storage Directions
Store your Hemp Salve + Arnica in a dry place out of direct sunlight. Refrigeration is not needed, nor is it necessary for the shelf life of your product.
Provided that you store your salve out of direct sunlight at room temperature, it will remain shelf stable and retain its potency for up to 12 months after the purchase date.

Full-Spectrum CBD Extract Infused Into Organic Coconut Oil
We use the essential oil extracted from our Vermont-grown hemp plants and infused it into organic MCT oil. By infusing it first into liquid oil, we can ensure that the CBD is distributed equally for consistent application.
Organic Beeswax
The base of any good salve is beeswax. Beeswax helps form a protective barrier on the skin’s surface while also allowing the pores to breathe freely. Beeswax is also believed to enhance skin elasticity and help reduce the signs of aging.
Organic Shea Butter
Shea butter is a fat extracted from Shea Tree nuts. Its high concentration of vitamins and fatty acids makes shea butter great for smoothing, soothing, and softening your skin. It also helps protect your skin from harmful UV radiation.
Arnica-infused Sunflower Oil
Arnica is an herb that grows both in Europe and the United States. For centuries, arnica has been used to soothe muscle aches, reduce inflammation, and heal wounds. Recent studies suggest that arnica is may help with inflammation from bug bites, swelling around broken bones, and may be helpful in burn treatment.
Organic Jojoba Oil
Surprise! Jojoba oil is actually a wax. Due to its chemical makeup, jojoba is constantly in a liquid state. As a result of the increased wax esters in jojoba, it very closely resembles sebum (the oily, waxy substance produced by your skin.) Thus the jojoba oil allows for our hemp salve to be more easily absorbed into the skin.
Organic Frankincense
Frankincense is a wood- and lemon-scented resin that comes from trees in the Boswellia genus. The resin has long been valued for its health benefits and anti-inflammatory properties. Particularly, the boswellic acid found in the resin is noted for its ability to limit redness and swelling in the skin. We use frankincense in our hemp salve as a minor fragrance.
Sunset Lake CBD’s Hemp Salve + Arnica contains a total delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration that does not exceed 0.3% on a dry-weight basis.

You absolutely can use this CBD Salve on your dog. We’ve used this formula to smooth our dog paw pads with great success. Just be aware that your dog may try to eat or lick the area afterward. While this CBD Salve won’t hurt them, we don’t recommend letting them consume it.

CBD Salve is a topical product, meaning that you shouldn’t be ingesting any of the CBD found in this salve.
