Lifter Hemp Flower Genetics

Suver Haze #50 x Early Resin Berry

Lifter CBD is a strain from Oregon CBD seeds. Like many other CBD flower strains, Lifter can trace its roots back to high-yielding marijuana cultivars. Over time, the team over in Oregon has bred the THC out of this strain and crossbred plants with higher CBD content. This technique has created bigger, high-CBD buds that look, smell, and smoke like traditional THC cannabis.

2022 – 2023 Growing Season Information

We germinated our Lifter CBD seeds in our greenhouses up in Vermont’s Champlain Islands. Once they were big enough to transplant, we moved the Lifter seedlings to the south side of our fields, sandwiched in between our greenhouses and the Sour Lifter plants.

We did not use pesticides or herbicides during germination, the growing, or the flowering phase. Instead, with guidance from the University of Vermont extension school, we used an integrated pest management system. We employed the use of Trichogramma parasitic wasps, assassin bugs, and ladybugs to control unwanted pests. We only used organic fertilizer that we secured from our main farm in Alburgh Vermont.

Lifter CBD Flower Terpene Profile

Lifter is a myrcene-dominant cultivar, accounting for about a third of the total terpene weight in this year’s testing sample. The second and third most common terpenes are beta-caryophyllene and humulene, respectively.

When you consume myrcene with CBD, it’s thought to contribute to the “couch lock” effect, leading many to believe that myrcene may have some sedative effects. Myrcene is also commonly found in mangos and thyme.

Beta-caryophyllene is an interesting terpene as it interacts with your endocannabinoid system and provides anti-inflammatory effects. This terpene helps add a bit of spice to Lifter’s profile as it’s also found in black pepper and cinnamon.

Formerly known as alpha-caryophyllene, humulene was renamed after Humulus lupulus, also known as the hops plant (also part of the Cannabaceae family just like cannabis). In some controlled settings, humulene has been shown to exhibit antifungal and antibacterial properties.

Frequently Asked Questions About Lifter CBD Flower

What Strain Is Lifter?

Lifter CBD Flower is one of Oregon CBD Seeds’ staple strains. Even as a relatively early CBD flower strain, Lifter has earned a place in everyone’s stash box. Each and every bud is visually, aromatically, and effectively tremendous.

In fact, because Lifter is such a prolific strain both in terms of potency and yields, many retailers have taken to renaming the strain in an effort to stand out from the pack. Beware of this tactic and always ask to see third-party certificates of analysis.

Is Lifter Indica Or Sativa?

Like many hemp crosses, Lifter is a Sativa-dominant hybrid strain. You can see the Sativa genetics really shine through in the flowering phase as Lifter plants reach upwards, sending their massive colas more than six feet in the air.

Does Lifter Get You High?

Smoking Sunset Lake CBD’s Lifter CBD Flower will not make you feel high or intoxicated.

To be considered hemp flower and not marijuana, smokable hemp must contain less than 0.3% delta-9 THC by dry weight. Instead of feeling high, as you would with traditional marijuana, you might feel much more relaxed or focused when you smoke Lifter.

How Does Lifter CBD Flower Make You Feel?

Smoking Lifter CBD Flower will make you feel uplifted and functional. Lifter hemp flower has become a popular anytime strain because it doesn’t sedate you as much as other strains are known to. Because of its potency, it is possible to smoke enough Lifter CBD that users will feel ready for bed.

What Does Lifter CBD Flower Smell Like?

This year’s cultivar smells like wafting blueberry pie with a side of sharp cheddar cheese— a Vermont favorite. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

How Do You Smoke Lifter CBD?

You can consume Lifter CBD Flower in many different ways. You can turn the small buds into infused oil or butter in order to make edibles. You can also purchase Sunset Lake CBD’s hand-trimmed Lifter buds or prerolls and smoke/vape them.

Sunset Lake CBD's Lifter Hemp Flower Reviews

“Was so sticky fresh when it arrived. I think it’s the first CBD strain that I have ever seen like that. Such a good day time smoke. I can function even better on this than I can on caffeine. Some other CBD strains make me kinda sleepy or too relaxed for the morning or afternoon. Making it hard to run errands. Lifter works great to even my moods and just focus on what I’m doing. Thanks to Sunset Lake and all the nice folks working hard to grow this.”

“Beautiful green buds. Lovely aroma. Vapes nicely at 180°C. A few tokes at bedtime promote a very restful night’s sleep. Also seems to reduce muscle soreness if used before/after a weight workout.”

“For me it’s pain relief and Lifter delivers that. It’s a smooth flower to smoke. Recommend.”

Love my Lifters!! This type in particular has helped with my anxiety immensely. Definitely get a nice warm, tingly feeling through my body with this one and I feel like my body actually relaxes. Not harsh on the pull and acts quickly. I’ll keep coming back for this one for sure!

I have now tried all the available flower strains from Sunset Lake, and I can say with certainty that Lifter is my favorite. They are all fantastic, but Lifter is a step above the rest in my opinion. The flavor profile is on point and doesn’t feel heavy at all. Some of the other strains would be better for night time, but Lifter is by far the best daytime strain option. Perfect for enjoying a nice walk, hike, day on the beach or any other outdoor activity. I have tried the smalls and large buds, and both are top notch quality.

Lifter always lifts my spirits!
